Our HEAT team recently attended the “Local Solutions to Net Zero” event hosted by Calderdale Council, at Dean Clough, attracting a diverse audience eager to engage in discussions about sustainable strategies. The event featured a line up of speakers, including the Mayor of West Yorkshire, representatives from UK100, Northern Power Grid and a range of others. Throughout the day, attendees explored Calderdale’s various strategies to achieve net zero by 2038, such as Local Area Energy Plans (LAEPs), retrofitting, solar panels, and the integration of electric buses into public transport.
